Dish Home Started FTTH Internet Service in Nepal. VSAT to launch soon

Dish Home is one of the DTH provider company that is providing direct-to-home TV service in Nepal since a decade ago. The company claimed and got the license to operate as an Internet Service Provider in early 2019 and it has started its fiber internet service in the valley. Dish home is planning to provide wireless internet targeting the costumers of rural areas using VSAT technology.

Dish Home’s FTTH Service

Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has approved Dish Home’s application to provide internet using optical fiber cable and VSAT technology last year. VSAT technology uses satellite transmission that will be used to connect remote areas to the web but for this time Dish Home is only providing its service in some city areas within the valley via optical fiber cable


The FTTH service by Dish Home is available in three areas of Kathmandu Valley. It is available in Bhainsepati, where the head office of the company is situated. Kapan – Bouddha area, Tinkune – Baneshwor area with the help of Space-Time Network (local cable operator for SimTV).

Dish Home is planning to expand its internet service out of the Ring Road which is expected to complete by the end of this year. The corporation expects to add 12,000 customers at that time. After that, it is planning to focus on the places inside the Ring Road.

Dish Home Internet Packages and Rates

Dish Home has launched two packages: 25 Mbps and 40 Mbps for now which is available for monthly, tri-monthly, semi-annual, and annual subscription. For existing Dish Home and SimTV users, the company is providing a little discount on the annual subscription. The prices listed below are inclusive of VAT.

Dish Home Satellite Internet

Dish Home’s goal of serving internet using VSAT technology has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The company is facing trouble to ingress required tools and equipment. The VSAT project of Dish Home will resume after the pandemic loses its gear
